Chatuchak Weekend Market has begun piloting cashless-only zones in three sections, with vendors accepting PromptPay QR codes and major e-wallets. Market management says the trial aims to speed up queues and reduce cash-handling risks for vendors. Tourists can pay via international apps linked to Thai QR standards, and cash remains accepted across the rest of the market.
