Thai Airways International issued an advisory on the night of 21 October 2026 for its flights between Bangkok and the two Taiwanese cities, Taipei and Kaohsiung. Flights from Thursday 22 to Saturday 24 October may be disrupted by Typhoon Champi, and the airline asks passengers to check the status of their flight on the THAI website or app before setting off for the airport.

Taiwan's Central Weather Administration put the storm at 20.6°N, 125.7°E at 03:00 UTC on 22 October, moving north-west with sustained winds of 51 metres per second. It issued a sea warning on 21 October and expected a land warning around midday on 22 October, with Taipei and Taoyuan among the areas told to take precautions.

THAI's contact centre in Thailand is +66 2 356 1111; in Taiwan, +886 2 7753 7973.
