It is free. ✓ Verified The ✓ Verified badge confirms a listing is real, open and accurate: checked against the business's own website or social channels and against Google Maps, not self-reported. It costs nothing and is never for sale. The only thing we ask in return is a link or a mention that points back to the listing. Verified listings today: **0**. The programme opened 13 September 2026 — no listing holds the badge yet, so yours could be the first. ## What we check - The business exists at the address on the listing: its own website or a social profile and Google Maps agree with each other. - It is open. Google does not mark it permanently or temporarily closed, and its own channels (website, Instagram, Facebook or Google Business profile) have shown activity in the last 90 days. - Name, address, phone and hours on the listing match what the business publishes itself. When they do not, we fix the listing with you before the badge goes on. We do not verify quality, licences or reviews. The badge is a check on facts we can see, not an opinion about the business. ## What you get - The ✓ Verified badge on the card and on the place page. - The listing moves into the verified band, above every unverified listing on every list it appears in: category pages, district pages, district × category pages, station pages, nightlife scene and area pages, and the map. - A followed link to your website from the listing. - The verification date shown on the page, so a visitor can see when it was checked. ## What we ask One link or mention of your bestofthailand.org listing from somewhere you control: your website, Google Business profile, Instagram bio or Facebook page. No wording is required. Remove it any time and tell us, and the badge comes off too. Nothing else: no fee, no plan to sign up for. ## What never happens - Verification is not for sale, at any price. - A badge already earned is never taken away to push a paid plan. - A paid Featured slot does not require Verified, and Verified does not require Featured. - We do not verify a business we cannot find on its own channels. ## Who qualifies Any business already listed on bestofthailand.org. Not listed yet? Fill in the form below. Your listing link and where you will link back from. 2. 2. We check it. Within 2 working days, against your own site or social profile and against Google Maps. 3. 3. We email you if something disagrees. The badge waits until the listing and your own channels match. 4. 4. The badge goes on. The listing's verification date is set and shown on the page. We re-check yearly, or sooner if Google marks a change. ## Frequently asked questions **Does Verified improve my rating?** No. The rating and review count come from Google, or from first-party reviews left on the listing's own page. Verified doesn't touch either one. What changes is placement: the badge, a followed link to your site, and a spot above unverified listings. **What if my business has no website?** A link from your Google Business profile, Instagram bio or Facebook page works the same as a website link. We only need one place to check the listing against, and one place you can point back to it from. **Can a Verified listing lose the badge?** Yes. We take it off if the business closes, if the link comes down, or if the name, address, phone or hours drift from what the business publishes and nobody answers when we ask about it. **How long does verification take?** A person replies within 2 working days of the form below. The check itself is usually quick; it only takes longer when something doesn't match and we're waiting on a reply. **Is Verified the same as Featured?** No. Verified is free and comes from a check we run. Neither programme requires the other: a Featured slot doesn't need Verified first, and a Verified badge doesn't need a paid plan. **Do you verify hotels, agencies and bars the same way?** Yes. The check doesn't change by category: the business exists at the address, it's open, and the name, address, phone and hours match what it publishes itself. ## Request verification A person checks the listing and emails you if anything needs fixing first. Paste the /place/… link. A person answers within 2 working days. No account, no card: if there is something to pay, we email an invoice first.
