About Best of Thailand

bestofthailand.org is an English-language guide to Bangkok: a directory of 3,248 businesses across 29 districts and 18 categories, an events agenda, practical guides (visas, scams, money, transport) and live weather, air-quality and currency data.

Listings are imported from public sources and from owner submissions, which we review by hand before publishing. A rating on a listing comes from the reviews we hold for it, and every rating states how many reviews it is based on. Where we do not have a figure, the page says so instead of guessing.

What we are not: a booking site. We sell no tickets, take no reservations and process no payments. Listings cover Bangkok only today; other Thai cities are planned, but nothing outside Bangkok is live yet.

Print edition. Printed district guides are in preparation: one sheet per district with the best-rated places, transport fares and the practical answers visitors ask at reception, placed where people read them, at a hotel desk or a café counter. For businesses, a basic listing is free. That is how a directory becomes complete.
