A person checks every submission by hand against the organiser's own page. Expect an answer within 2 working days.
Once approved, an event appears on the events calendar, gets its own page carrying Event structured data, joins this weekend in Bangkok when its date falls Friday to Sunday, and goes out in the RSS feed.
A recurring social — a weekly quiz, a run club, a language exchange — qualifies under the same rule, and can also appear on Solo travel in Bangkok, which lists recurring events by weekday.

What the Featured slot does not buy
- No email blast. The weekend digest at /this-weekend is compiled from the same event rows and syndicated as RSS. It is not emailed yet, because we have not wired up an email provider.
- No rewrite. We publish what the organiser sends and what we can read off their page, not marketing copy of our own.
- No Featured slot without verification. An event we cannot check against the organiser's own page does not get listed at all, paid or not.
- One at a time. Only one event is Featured on the calendar at once; buying the slot early reserves the next open week rather than a second, concurrent one.

Yes. A plain listing costs nothing: send the date, time, venue address and a link to the organiser's own page through the form below, and a person checks it against that page before it goes live. 36 events are on the calendar right now, 34 of them recurring fixtures. A paid Featured slot only changes where an event sits in that list, never what a plain listing costs.
How long does it take for my event to appear?
A person reads every submission against the organiser's own page, so it is not instant. Expect an answer within 2 working days, whether you asked for a free listing or the Featured slot. A free listing that qualifies goes live the same day it is approved; the Featured slot goes live the day its invoice is paid.
What does the Featured slot actually change?
It pins the event at the top of /events for the week it runs, because the listing query sorts featured events first, then soonest. It adds a Featured label to the event's card and includes it in that week's /this-weekend issue and RSS feed when the date falls Friday to Sunday. Featured events right now: 0. Will you email my event to your subscribers?
No, not yet. /this-weekend is a page and an RSS feed, rebuilt every hour from the same event rows on the site. It is not sent by email because we have not wired up an email provider. We would rather say that plainly than let a listing imply a send that does not happen.
Can I list a recurring event, like a weekly quiz or a run club?
Yes, under the same rule as a one-off date: the day, time and venue address need to be readable on the organiser's own page. A recurring social that clears that bar is also eligible for /solo-travel, which lists recurring events by weekday, so one submission through the form below can place a weekly fixture in both places.
