A printed sheet per Bangkok district, on the counter
One A4 sheet, printed on both sides, for each district. The front carries the district’s top-rated places with a QR code on each one; the back answers what guests ask at reception: getting around, the airport, apps, scams, currency, weather, each panel with its own QR. Sheets sit in racks at hotel desks, café counters, hostels and coworking spaces.
As of 13 September 2026, no district sheet has printed. A district prints its first edition once 2 paid slots on its sheet are sold. One sold slot already covers that district’s print run, so the threshold is a low bar set to make sure a slot is filled before anything goes to press, not a sales target.
What is on the sheet
The front lists the top 15 places in the district, in visitor categories only, capped at three per category so one busy category can’t fill the sheet. Each row shows the rating, the review count, one line paraphrased from reader reviews and labelled as such, the street address, an “Open Sun” marker where it’s true, and a QR code to the place page. The back carries 6 panels of practical answers: getting around, from the airport, apps to install, scams to know, currency and weather, each with its own QR.
Every QR carries a print source, a QR medium and a campaign tag naming the district and the print month, so a placement is measured rather than assumed: visits and phone, website and directions clicks, split by district and by month, reported to the advertiser each month.

Districts
27 districts have 3 or more listed businesses today and qualify for a sheet. The pilot starts with Sukhumvit, Khao San and Thonglor, chosen for listing depth and hotel and hostel foot traffic, not for how this list happens to sort.
What a slot does not buy
- The other 12 places. Their order is set by rating and review count, the same as online, and a paid slot doesn’t move it.
- Editorial copy. The sheet shows what’s already on the listing — its own rating, review count and the one review-insight line every place gets. Nothing is written for the ad.
- Exclusivity. Any number of businesses in the same category can buy a slot. A paid slot reserves a spot on the sheet, not a category.
- An unmarked listing. Every paid row on the printed sheet carries the word “Sponsored” next to the place name.
How it works
Advertisers
- Submit the form with your district and existing listing, if you have one.
- We confirm the business is listed on bestofthailand.org and currently open.
- We email an invoice for one quarter, ฿3,900 per quarter.
- The edition goes to print once that district reaches 2 sold slots.
- Sheets go into racks at that district’s host venues.
- Each month, we email the QR visit and click numbers for your slot.
Hosts
- Submit the form with your venue, its district and where the rack would sit.
- We deliver the rack and that district’s current sheets.
- We replace the sheets each quarter with the new edition.
Frequently asked questions
Which places make the front of the sheet?
The top 15 places in that district, in visitor categories, featured listings first, then Verified, then ranked by a rating that weights in how many reviews back it up, so a 5.0 from one reviewer doesn't outrank a 4.9 from hundreds. No single category fills more than three of the 15 rows.
Can a bar or club be on the sheet?
Yes. Bars and clubs are a visitor category and rank on the same basis as every other place on the sheet. What stays off is business-to-business categories nobody reads a hotel-desk sheet to find: coworking & offices, education & schools, home services, legal & visa services and real estate agents. Those categories stay on the website.
What if my district isn't in the table?
It has fewer than 3 listed businesses, the same bar every listing page on the site clears before it counts as having enough content. Add or verify a listing there and the district appears on this page on its own next time it rebuilds — no separate request needed.
How are QR scans counted?
Every QR on the sheet links to a page tagged with a print source, a QR medium and a campaign naming the district and the print month. Our analytics logs each visit against those tags, plus any phone, website or directions click that follows, and we total both by district every month.
How long does a print run stay out?
One quarter, the minimum term for a paid slot. At the end of the quarter the sheet is reprinted: 300 fresh copies per district, with the free rows re-ranked to that quarter's current ratings regardless of who advertised the quarter before.
