Phuket is hosting the InterPride General Meeting and World Conference 2026 from 29 October to 1 November, with pre-conference activities on 28 October. It is the first time the conference takes place in Asia. Organisers expect 400 to 500 delegates from more than 70 countries and more than 1,000 Thai volunteers.
The province began training government staff, hotel workers and local businesses on 21 October. Thailand plans to present its bid for WorldPride 2030 during the conference; Bangkok and Barcelona are reported as the two candidates.
