Sam Sen Road stays diverted at Sri Yan until 31 December

The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) has extended the round-the-clock traffic diversion on Sam Sen Road, between Soi Sam Sen 21 and the Sri Yan intersection, from 1 November to 31 December 2026. The closure is for work on Sri Yan station, on the underground southern section of the Purple Line from Tao Poon towards Rat Burana.

On the side heading towards the Wachira intersection, three lanes stay open on one stretch and two on the other, and residents keep access to their homes. The MRTA asks drivers who do not need to pass through to avoid the area but has not named an alternative route. It has not said whether the closure will be extended again, and Sri Yan station has no opening date.

Diversion details: the project hotline 06 5928 0597, mrta-purplelinesouth.com, or Line @mrtpurpleline.
