Floods recede to 16 provinces; Lat Krabang and Nong Chok still under water

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation said at 06:00 on 23 October 2026 that floods still covered 60 districts in 16 provinces and Bangkok, affecting 375,726 households, down from 27 provinces on 7 October and 20 on 16 October. Water levels are falling in every province on the list. The department counts 64 deaths in the provinces still listed; the figure drops as provinces come off the list, so it is not a national total.

In Bangkok the two districts still under water are Lat Krabang and Nong Chok, on the eastern edge of the city, with 168,203 affected households between them. Ayutthaya has 66,825 households affected across 11 districts. No date has been given for the remaining areas to clear.
