New riverside park connects Rama VIII bridge to Old City
A 2.4-kilometre landscaped promenade along the Chao Phraya opens to walkers and cyclists this weekend.

Bangkok's newest public park stretches along the Chao Phraya from the Rama VIII bridge toward the Old City, adding shaded walkways, cycle paths and river viewpoints. The project is part of a wider plan to open up the riverfront to pedestrians. Evening visitors can expect food kiosks, free wifi and views of the illuminated bridge.
