Koh Chang → Pattaya: Skips the Bangkok backtrack if you are already on the eastern seaboard. Departures are morning-only, so an afternoon start means an overnight in Trat.

Pattaya → Bangkok: Ekkamai's Eastern Terminal is on the BTS, which makes this the rare intercity bus you can reach without a taxi. Airport services run direct from Suvarnabhumi.

Koh Chang → Koh Kood: Sailings thin out in the June–September low season and some drop entirely; check the current timetable before planning an island-to-island hop rather than a mainland backtrack.

Koh Kood → Bangkok: Longest of the eastern-island runs and the one most sensitive to a missed connection — the Laem Sok catamarans are twice-daily, not hourly. Book the bus and boat as one ticket so a late coach is the operator's problem.
