Bangkok's cocktail rooms are the part of its nightlife with an international reputation, and they are priced for it: expect 400–600 baht a drink at the bars on the regional lists and 200–300 at the neighbourhood ones (2026, indicative). Many sit behind an unmarked door, upstairs from a shophouse or inside a restaurant, so check the address and the floor before you set out. Thursday to Saturday after 9pm the named rooms fill; a reservation by LINE or Instagram is normal and free. The listing order below puts the venues with the most reviews behind their rating first.
- A 10% service charge and 7% VAT are often added on top of the menu price at hotel and high-end bars; the menu says so in small print.
- Happy hour, where it exists, is 5–7pm and usually on house pours, not the signature list.
- The 2am close applies here; only Silom–Patpong, RCA and Ratchada are licensed to 4am.
